About Dr. Marc Lamontagne, Principal

Marc Lamontagne is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada.

• Bachelor of Engineering - Material Science : University of Western, London, Ontario Canada
• Master of Applied Science  in metallurgical engineering -  Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada
• Ph.D. in metallurgical engineering -  Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada

Marc joined TransCanada Pipelines Integrity group in 1997 where his principle function was in-line inspection (ILI) and field measured defect analysis, defining the future ILI schedule and fitness-for-purpose reporting for all sections hydro tested or in-line inspected.  Marc then joined Marr Associates Pipeline Integrity in late 2001 and subsequently Tuboscope Integrated Pipeline Services.  
 
Marc Lamontagne is a recognized expert in

• fitness-for-purpose reporting of pipelines based on the analysis of corrosion and/or cracking through in-line inspection reporting,
• interaction and assessment procedures, and
• modeling the growth of defects to create prudent integrity management programs.

In  2006, he established Lamontagne Pipeline Assessment Corporporation in order to offer the best and most reponsive services to the pipeline industry. Since then, Marc has become a well-regarded authority in the field of pipeline integrity assessment.
